[Roane County News], MOSIER, MRS. MILDRED SMITH, age 81 of Sunbright, TN, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was the widow of Luther McCartt. Private funeral services were conducted Dec. 18 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Linary Cemetery. She was loved by a multitude of students at Central High School in Wartburg. She is survived by her husband, Clement McFillen; a son, Wiley Witherspoon (wife, Claudette) of Gallatin, Tennessee; three daughters, Ruth Snelling (husband, Bill) of Middletown, Marilyn Daulton (husband, Carthel) of Somerset, Kentucky, and Kay Baber (husband, Jim) of Springboro; two stepdaughters, Barbara McFillen of Germantown, and Bertie Staab of Norwood, Ohio; 22 grandchildren, and 26 greatgrandchildren; a brother, Leroy Hughes of Loveland, Ohio; a half-sister, Kay Edward of Somerset, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Clinton Church of God of Prophecy, Moose Family Fraternity, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Sons of the American Legion in Dallas.
